Financial Aid

At RPRY, we are committed to making a quality Torah education accessible to all families. We recognize that full tuition may represent a significant burden, and with the generosity of our community and benefactors, we are proud to offer financial aid to those in need.

We are pleased to offer two financial aid options for the 2025–2026 academic year:

Streamlined Financial Aid (SFA):

Simple. Transparent. Faster.

The Streamlined Financial Assistance program provides
families meeting eligibility criteria with a predictable tuition credit based
on household income and number of K–12 children attending private school.

Key Details:

  • Tuition credits are applied directly to your 2025–2026 tuition statement.
  • Income is verified by your 2024 federal tax return (required to finalize
    awards).
  • Early Childhood (Pre-Nursery, Nursery and Pre-K) students are not eligible.
  • Families with complex financial structures (e.g., business income,
significant unearned income) may require additional review and may instead
apply through the Traditional Aid process.

  • Eligibility restriction:
Families living in or renting homes with property taxes (or equivalent rent levels) exceeding $20,000/year in NJ or $15,000/year in NY are not eligible for SFA.
  • SFA awards do not require repayment; however, future contributions are encouraged if financial circumstances improve.
  • Final awards may be adjusted based on program demand.

Important: Families who apply through the Traditional Financial Aid process are not eligible for SFA.

Traditional Financial Aid Application:

Families who do not qualify for SFA, or who require a more comprehensive financial review, are encouraged to apply through the traditional financial aid process via FACTS.

📌 Principles and Guidelines for Financial Aid

  1. While the committee is committed to assisting families in genuine need, the long-term financial health of the Yeshiva depends on families fulfilling their tuition obligations to the best of their ability.
Before applying, families should carefully consider whether they are prioritizing Yeshiva tuition appropriately over discretionary expenses.

    Factors considered include:

    Housing Expenses

    • When purchasing a home, refinancing, or undertaking construction projects, families should ensure that the resulting loan principal, monthly payments, and property tax obligations are manageable alongside current and future Yeshiva obligations.

    Vehicle Expenses

    • Families are encouraged to approach vehicle purchases with practicality, favoring reliable and moderately priced vehicles over luxury or high-end options.

    Charitable Contributions (Tzedaka)

    • While supporting the broader community is important, families should prioritize paying current Yeshiva tuition before making other charitable donations.

    Retirement and College Savings

    • While saving for retirement and education is valuable, contributions to 401(k), IRA, and 529 plans should be weighed carefully against immediate tuition obligations.

    Summer Programs

    • Summer camps and programs are recognized as valuable experiences. However, families should consider cost differences between camps and between one-month and full-summer programs. More modest selections may increase eligibility for scholarship consideration.

    Travel and Vacations

    • Family travel is important for building memories. However, scholarship preference is generally given to families whose travel expenditures are modest and consistent with responsible financial management.

Note: Financial aid is granted based on tuition only. Fees are not eligible for financial aid.
